Yannick Martin is a graduated Architect working as a Visual Artist -
based in Marseille, France.
His work is develops in studio or urban environment.
It is articulated between sculptures, illustrations, design, painting and murals.
Its realizations are based on the exploration of architectural, structural and pictorial potentialities.
They are concretized through the composition then recomposition of volumes or abstract forms.
The result is minimal compositions playing with abstract shapes, symbols and architectural configurations. They take the appearance of alphabets.
A few years back (with its brother Niko) he mades short films and music videos, the last one having been shot in India for the song ''Partir ou Rester'' (to stay or to leave) of Brigitte Fontaine and Philippe Katerine.
THE BOX, its first graphical and architectural book, have been sold in museums such as The Centre Pompidou, La Cité de l'Architecture et du Patrimoine, Le Palais de Tokyo or Le Pavillon de l'Arsenal in Paris.
